Good governance and ethical business conduct
Good governance is reflected in how we treat one another, make decisions and take responsibility for our actions. Sound financial management and profitable growth are the foundation of our business. We trust people, encourage independence and believe that everyone wants to succeed in their work.
SOL’s Code of Conduct defines our shared principles of conduct. We do not accept bribery, corruption, money laundering or any other form of unethical conduct. In cleaning services and property services, a photo ID card displaying the tax number is used to improve oversight and transparency. Compliance with ethical principles is promoted through guidance, training, supervision and management oversight.

We are a major employer
We create value for society by being Finland’s 18th largest employer (2026). In all our companies, we comply with the collective agreements applicable by law. We operate and have a local presence throughout Finland, from Hanko to Inari.

We identify risks and develop our operations
Risk management and internal control are part of good governance. SOL’s risk management covers, among other things, strategic, financial, operational and sustainability-related risks, including human rights risks. Risks are managed through shared operating guidelines, the Code of Conduct, reporting channels, supplier requirements, audits, and management oversight and reporting. The management system and its documentation are continuously developed to ensure that responsibilities, decisions and changes are clearly defined and traceable. Our management system is based on the ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 management systems.
Concerns can be reported confidentially
We address concerns and misconduct. SOL employees and partners can raise a suspicion or concern, for example, with a supervisor, management or Human Resources, or submit a report through the whistleblowing reporting channel.
Responsible procurement and suppliers
In addition to quality, price and security of supply, we consider environmental impacts, human rights and ethical business practices in procurement. We require our suppliers to comply with legislation and SOL’s Code of Conduct for Business Partners, and we develop sustainability together with our partners.
Data protection and information security are part of trust
We process personal data and confidential information responsibly and securely. We also require our suppliers to comply with applicable data protection legislation and to exercise appropriate care in the processing and protection of confidential and sensitive information.
Sustainability is managed as part of the business
At SOL, sustainability matters are addressed by the Board of Directors and management. Management monitors significant sustainability impacts, risks and opportunities, as well as progress towards targets and the implementation of measures. The impacts, risks and opportunities identified in the Group-level materiality assessment are taken into account, where necessary, in the decision-making of the companies.

We communicate openly about our work
SOL has published sustainability reports since 2010. In 2026, the first sustainability report covering the entire Group was prepared, drawing on the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and reporting standards. We monitor the targets, measures and results related to good governance and ethical business conduct as part of our annual sustainability reporting.
