During these exceptional times, the health and safety of our personnel and customers is of primary importance to us. We have established a preparedness plan in order to guarantee the health of our personnel, to secure our customers’ important operations and to minimize the negative impacts on our business operations.

In the preparedness plan, we have increased the level of protection of our personnel and intensified our instructions. Risk management, preparation and clear instructions are especially important in situations like this. We must ensure that all employees, including those working at our customer sites, are aware of the instructions related to the coronavirus. The supervisor is in a key role in distributing correct information. We adhere to the Finnish authority instructions (Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, Finnish Institute of Occupational Health and Ministry for Foreign Affairs) in all operations and follow customers’ instructions when working at customer sites.

The preparedness team appointed to SOL’s Finnish operations monitors and acts according to the instructions of the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare on a daily basis. We cooperate closely with our partner network. In addition, we obtain up-to-date information from the authorities and persons in charge in the health care sector. We have provided our entire personnel with the instructions of our occupational health services in Finnish, Swedish and English.

The team keeps the preparedness plan up to date and, when necessary, provides instructions regarding matters such as cleaning, sickness absences and isolation or quarantine provided for in the Communicable Diseases Act. The team also assesses different scenarios, such as the impacts of any possible quarantine on the company’s business operations.

The level of cleanliness and hygiene at our premises is now crucial in order to prevent the spread of the virus. By intensifying the wiping of surfaces, we reduce the spread of the coronavirus and other communicable diseases. Our strong expertise includes all kinds of professional, disinfecting cleaning. Our operations will ensure that premises can be used despite suspected or detected cases of the coronavirus.

For us, continuing dialogue with our customers is especially important at this time. We want to ensure the continuation of our services in accordance with our contracts and also acknowledge our customers’ changing needs in exceptional situations. Our contact person and customer service centre are ready to assist you around the clock and in all situations
