SOL’s roots in the business community of Finland go deep. Our first operations are considered to have started in 1848, when dye master C.A. Lindström founded a textile dye house and laundry on the hill where the Parliament House of Finland currently stands.

SOL is an active opinion leader, with representatives on the Boards of the Confederation of Finnish Industries, the Finnish Property Maintenance Association and the Private Employment Agencies Association. We also participate in the functions of the Company division of Finnsecurity ry. SOL participates in the work of other bodies as well and accepts positions of trust and expert tasks offered.

Customer satisfaction and customer retention are monitored in all our activities every month. We follow all field-specific instructions. Continuous customer feedback and a questionnaire procedure are a part of the annual plan and conducted monthly with some customers.

According to the results, SOL’s customer satisfaction has been at an excellent level for many years. Our goal is to have customers who want to do business with companies and communities using our services or with our own full-service laundries also in the future. The number of our happy domestic cleaning customers is also increasing.

In 1991 and 1993, SOL received the Excellence Finland Award and was awarded the Nestor Partners Oy Trailblazers’ lantern. In 1992, SOL also received the Achiever of the Year award. We employ about 11,000 cheerful SOL professionals and the revenue objective of our group for the year 2014 is EUR 316 million.

Responsible owners are the backbone for steady growth

The owners of SOL, which has operated as a family business since it began, have a central role and steady experience in the development of the company. The owners expect from the employees responsible operations in accordance with the company values. SOL is an active member of the Finnish Family Firms Association, which promotes an operational framework for and responsible ownership of family enterprises.

SOLEMO Oy functions as the parent company of the group. The Finnish affiliates are SOL Services Oy (providing domestic, property, cleaning, facility, safety and security services), SOL Laundy services Oy (providing laundry services), and SOL Personnel services Oy (operating in the personnel service field). Our international affiliates operate in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
