It was Melvin’s brother who first came to Finland in 2013. At one point, working as a chef in a hotel restaurant in Helsinki, he run into a customer who was a Service Manager at SOL. The brother asked about jobs there, and Melvin ended up applying. That was when his career at SOL started. After year and a half, his spouse applied to SOL as well.
Great customer satisfaction is very important to Melvin. He thinks probably the best thing in working at SOL is that it is one of Finland’s biggest cleaning companies. That means there are lot of opportunities for permanent careers.
What Melvin values in Finland the most is safety. Finland also has one of the best educational systems in the world. Sometimes Melvin misses his close ones in Philippines, plus the tropical weather, but feels his new home country has given him and his family great opportunities.”
